One Light Fashion Photography

I am a big fan of simplicity, especially one light setups. In the case of the following images I just used the Sun. For the three images in the cabin I used a single Profoto Umbrella and a Photogenic PLR1250DRC mono-head.

This is about as simple as it gets. No reflectors or retouching in Photoshop for lighting. Just basic color and exposure adjustments in Adobe Camera Raw.

The images Melissa and I created are the last update for her modeling agency book. Honestly, this was one of my favorite shoots because I didn’t have to lug gear around or need any assistants to hold stuff. The agency loved the images because the lighting is so natural and the backgrounds provided all the drama.

Breaking rules is fun. Shoot into the Sun and shoot naked on a public beach!
